Passionate is a great way to describe Alex Stamakinley. Alex has a genuine love of helping her clients find their dream homes and always strives to exceed their expectations. Her experiences traveling to more than 30 countries and training to become a world-class athlete have given her an unusually strong work ethic and great attention to detail. Alex’s top priority is providing her clients with the ultimate service through her hard work, integrity, and compassion.

Prior to her career in real estate, Alex was a professional figure skater. She traveled all over the world competing for Greece and was the country’s first pro-figure skater in history. Alex is a three-time Greek National Champion, and one of the greatest honors of her life was making the 1992 Winter Olympic team. Among her favorite skating memories is when she was asked to perform in Sorrento, Italy, for one of the most acclaimed and loved tenors of all time — Luciano Pavarotti.

After retiring from figure skating, she went on to pursue a career in broadcast journalism and received her bachelor’s degree at California State University, Northridge. Upon graduation, Alex won the prestigious “Golden Mike” award from the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California for outstanding sports broadcasting. Over two decades ago, Alex and her husband, Mike, were looking for the perfect place to raise a family and fell in love with Ventura’s small-town vibe, friendly people, and amazing weather. No matter where they visit in the world, they’re always happy to come back home to sunny Ventura.

When Alex is not busy helping clients find their dream homes, you can find her at the movies with her two children, Athena and Demetri, or dining downtown with her husband.
